The Consulta is the advisory body of the Cardinal Grand Master. EOHSJ members meet twice a year at St Francis Retreat Centre in Auckland to spend time discussing and reflecting on a Conference paper delivered by our Chaplains as well as celebrating Mass and coming together for lunch. Fr Anthony Malone, OFM, KCHS led the Recollection Day using the Study Guide of Laudato Si, the encyclical of Pope Francis. He also spent time explaining Laudato Deum: the pope’s cry for a response to the climate crisis. Aug 22, 2022 Members of the New Zealand Magistral Delegation gathered at a special ceremony on Sunday 3 July 2022, to witness Bishop Stephen Lowe, newly appointed Bishop of Auckland, officially take up the additional role of Grand Prior to be the spiritual guide of the New Zealand members of the Order and to assist the Magistral Delegate.
